           Take Hwy 496 (Hotwells Rd/Bayou Rapides Rd) from MacArthur Dr. Continue about 11 miles.  Turn on Hwy 121, cross bridge, take immediate right beside cotton gin (you are on Mill Race Rd) and continue straight.

McNutt School Historic Site(1997)

Period of Significance 1900-1924, 1925-1949

     McNutt School is the only one room school house that remains in Rapides Parish.  It was built in 1891. The school closed down in 1950.  The school was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997 and was restored in September 2002. The school will be opened this fall to the public.
